A Pixi Beauty Review

Giving you my likes and dislikes in this Pixi Beauty review about the brand's H20 Skindrink, the Liplift Max Gloss, and the Hydrating Milky Mist.

If you’ve walked through the aisles of Target then you’ve undoubtably noticed the pretty green branding that is Pixi by Petra. I was always drawn to the brand, but I never tried them out for some reason. Recently I’d heard a ton of great things about their Glow Tonic and wanted to try the brand out. (My local Target was sold out of this product, but I’m looking forward to trying it soon.)

If you remember, I have terrible skin that is extremely sensitive. I’m always trying new products, while being cautious to not cause more irritation. After a lot of research I concluded that Pixi was a brand that really cared about their products and got a lot of good reviews. I picked up the Hydrating Milky Mist, H20 Skindrink, and the LipLift Max in three shades. Here’s what I thought of the products…

The H20 Skindrink: $22

This is by far my favorite product by Pixi that I’ve tried so far. I personally use it like a primer. I started using this in August, which was perfect because it does wonders to skin that has just been in the sun. It goes on smooth and has a cooling effect.

I didn’t notice a difference in my skin from using this product until about week two of consistent use. Now I can’t live without it! My skin feels amazingly soft from using it. Ultimately, I like that it doesn’t leave skin feeling heavy or looking shiny and oily.

The LipLift Max Gloss: $14 each

I want to preface this by saying that I’m not normally a lipgloss fan. Since I’m normally found driving with the windows open in my car, I found it extremely annoying when my hair would get stuck to my lips. (Ladies, you feel me on this?) But, with that being said, I actually liked one of these! They are definitely plumping, but have a nice mint flavor that doesn’t tingle or tighten.

I tried the Honey Sheen, Sheer Rose, and Petal Ice shades. My new daily go-to is now the Sheer Rose. Since I have a pale complexion, the Petal Ice did not work for me at all. (That’s the top one in the photo above.) If you’re looking for that “no-makeup” gloss, Honey Sheen is for you, but again looked to pale on my skin.

The Hydrating Milky Mist: $15

You might have heard, but I’m all about moisturizers these days. Not only does it help to have extra moisture during the colder months, I’ve found that using a morning and nightly moisturizer has helped tremendously with my skin. The first thing that I liked about this product is that its a spray! All of my moisturizers in the past have been heavy creams that take a lot of massaging into the skin. This product was a quick, easy alternative.

I would say a little goes a long way with this product. I instantly noticed a difference, which is unusual for moisturizers, and it is lightweight! The key ingredients are hyaluronic acid, black oat, and glycerin.

If you have oily skin, I don’t recommend misting all over the face, since it does add a lot of instant moisture. Instead, apply to dry, problem areas.

Have you tried any products by this brand? I really enjoyed doing this Pixi beauty review and I’m looking forward to trying even more!

I just bought my first Pixi product and went for a palette that has highlighters, blushes, and eye shadows! Loving it thus far but I’m dying to get my hands on some of their mascara – I’ve heard amazing things!
