I’m so excited today to team up with Essence Cosmetics to celebrate their launch available at select Target stores! You know I love trying new makeup products constantly, and their brand really spoke to me. Essence was launched in 2001 in Germany, and came to the U.S. in 2007. How amazing is it that you can now find them at over 500 select Target locations?! Not only do they offer high quality, on-trend products at affordable prices, which we all know is really important for this college student, but they really believe in personality and confidence! Their products make it super easy to learn new techniques, as well is find the products and shades that are perfect for you. I am in love with the “How To Make Your Face Glow” palette, which is a simple way to learn how to contour!

Anyway, I’m here today to share a foolproof trick I learned to make your lipstick stay all day and not feather! It’s super simple, doesn’t require a lot of time, but I promise it works!

First off, you’ll need your concealer and a concealer brush on hand, plus the lip products you want to apply. I chose Essence’s Sheer & Shine Lipstick in “Candy Love,” and their Liquid Lipstick in “Beauty Secret.”

The main secret is to take your concealer and apply a thin line, lining both your upper and bottom lips. Pretty simple, I know! But trust me, it makes a huge difference! This ultimately is like applying a lip pencil, but I find that it works better and lasts all day without feathering.

Lastly, apply your lipstick! I chose to add a gloss on top to add a little pop, pop totally optional though. It totally completes my simple, no-fuss, everyday look for going to classes. Bonus, Essence’s lip products smell super good too!

While I was at Target, I also picked up Essence’s “How To Make Bright Eyes” palette, “How To Make Your Brows Wow” palette, and some fun new nail polishes. The Express Nail Dry Drops are a total lifesaver for a girl on-the-go!

Have you tried any new beauty brands lately? I hope you wander into the makeup aisle the next time your in Target! P.S. Stop on over to my Instagram today to see a short little video on how I applied these products!
