I know I’m probably preaching to the choir on this one, but do y’all understand the importance of having a signature cocktail whipped up for your holiday gathering?! It leaves such an impression and honestly can make your guests feel like you have your shit together, even when most of us hostesses don’t. Ha! I felt seriously inspired from some of my favorite blogging pals like Katie, Josh, Hallie, and Laura’s holiday concoctions. I’m having everyone from high school over tonight as a little reunion before we all part ways from college and enter the big-gurl world. After consulting my mother, the restaurant biz veteran, she told me I should put together The Poinsettia. She advised making a large batch of the cranberry and Triple Sec, then having mini champagne bottles that the guest can top their flute off with. How cute?! (And doesn’t involve a lot of prep time or maintenance throughout the night!) Now let’s get to the cocktail..
- 3/4 cup Triple Sec
- 1 1/2 cup Cranberry Juice
- 3/4 cup Champagne
- Cranberries for garnish
- In a large pitcher, mix together Triple Sec and cranberry juice. (This can be done ahead of time and refrigerated until ready to serve.)
- Pour into flutes and top with champagne!
- Garnish with cranberries & enjoy!
Pro Tip: Freeze your cranberries and use as ice in your cocktail!
