This past weekend Harrison and I packed up for a fun, but quick, adventure to DC. One thing we love about being back in MD is the close proximity to all of our family. It was so nice to spend some quality time with his family before the craziness of the next few weeks (don’t worry, there’s a life update coming this week!).
It had been awhile since I had been in the city, so it was super cool to get to see all of the new restaurants and shops.
I wore this long, waterfall cardigan over a simple black scoop neck top. It was surprisingly not that cold, so I ended up ditching the sweater soon after these photos.
Clearly I have a thing for waterfall cardigans in the Fall and Winter months. (Exhibit A, B + C) Hey, they’re super versatile and cozy so I aint mad about it. Marshall’s always has a large selection of them this time of year.
We snapped these photos on our way to dinner. I was excited to try out TAKODA on Florida Ave – a new to me place that came highly recommended. The atmosphere was super inviting and even had a rooftop beer garden. We split the Rosemary Parmesan Tots for an app, which were amazing! And don’t go if you’re not going to order the deep fried Oreos for dessert. You guys, they’re fried in red velvet cake batter and served with a cream cheese icing. So good!
Happy Monday everyone! Did you have any fun adventures this past weekend?
