Happy Monday, errybody! Today I want to talk about trends in fashion. Have you bought into the bandana necktie trend? Let’s discuss…
Ever since Sophie shared her post with you all about reinventing the neck bandana trend for Fall, I’ve been contemplating how to bring this trend into my own wardrobe. I like to describe my style as a mix between well-made classics and trendy, glam accents. Soft, mixed with contrast. This would be any other old outfit, except I through in the bandana necktie as a fun little twist. What do you think?
I also saw some of my favorite bloggers (like Mae, Emily, and Jessica) wearing the trend so well. I figured why couldn’t I?! At first I thought this outfit was super badass. I was all about it. But then, there’s this thing that happens to a lot of bloggers. Once you look at yourself on a screen in photographs, it’s a different story. Now I’m thinking, “Did I tie it too tight?” “It kind of makes me look like I have three chins.” “Damn, the tie isn’t supposed to be in the middle of my neck.”
You know how it goes. But I don’t know, I kind of love it, I kind of think I look absolutely, completely stupid.
Also, say hello to my pretty new specs from Warby Parker! I was in desperate need of a new pair, so I went to their storefront in DC the last time I was in the city. I loved their selection so much I even came home with two pairs. Whoops! I’ll be doing a full review on both sometime this week.
Has this happened to you or am I the only one? Are you a fan of the bandana necktie trend? I’m looking forward to tying my bandana in other ways, like both Sophie and Mae mentioned. Hope you all had an amazing Thanksgiving and don’t forget to check out all of the amazing sales STILL going strong!
