The Pink Lady Gin Martini

When I first saw these edible flowers, I knew I had to create a delicious cocktail to share with you all. I instantly thought PINK, so here is the Pink Lady Gin Martini that is so refreshingly delicious.

I’m not normally a gin drinker (like at all) but this drink surprised me. So, so, so good! World Martini Day is approaching this June 19th, which gives you an extra excuse to indulge. 😉

The Pink Lady Gin Martini

Ingredients
  • 2 parts Gin (whichever brand you prefer)
  • 1 part Brandy
  • ½ parts lemon juice
  • 2 dashes of grenadine
  • 1 egg white
  • Ice to chill
Instructions
  1. Start by adding ice to the shaker.
  2. Pour lemon juice, egg white, grenadine, gin, and brandy into the shaker.
  3. Shake extremely well!
  4. Strain into the cocktail glass.
  5. Garnish with an edible flower or lemon twist.
  6. Enjoy!

Some people have a strong preference of vodka over gin, but this cocktail can really be made with either spirit. Basically, gin brings a more complicated and botanical profile, while vodka offers a smooth, modern experience. The botanical profile of gin gives this martini a smooth finish with the lemon in there as well.  There’s no shame in giving each one a try, and even in different circumstances… I definitely wasn’t a gin drinker until I found one I liked, as well as a bartender to instruct me on what pairs well with it.
