Today’s post is a little different and I have to say, a long time coming. The idea started with a professor/mentor of mine asking how the site and “side biz” was going, and after I told him he completely seriously said, “Taylor, you need an intern.” I looked at him and laughed.. An intern?! No, I’m fine! Well now I am regretting completely laughing in his face. With all the growth that the LCC has seen and the exciting next couple of months I’m so thrilled to announce that we are looking for *two* creative, goal-driven, and collaborative people to join our team! (Starred because we’re being flexible with these positions.)
Please keep reading if you or someone you know would be interested!
Marketing & Social Media Intern
We are seeking a social media and marketing intern to work closely on strategy and content creation to encourage growth on the LCC’s social media channels. You’ll be responsible for weekly content creation, identifying trends and insights and optimize strategies accordingly, delivering an insights-driven social strategy across all platforms with scheduling tools, and working with the team to evaluate and strategize ways we can grow.
Applicant must be a motivated self-starter (location in the Delmarva area preferred, but not necessary), with a passion for the creative industry. Must be extremely “plugged in” to the online world through websites, blogs and social media. Knowledge of online monitoring tools and experience in marketing and blogger outreach is a major plus.
Fashion & Lifestyle Editorial Intern
We are seeking an intern for this position who truly wants to learn and be all hands on. It’s hard to put together a specific job description for this position because it will truly be a different schedule each day (welcome to the blogger’s life!). Some responsibilities include but are not limited to, food prep and styling for photo shoots, assisting editors with photo research and sizing images, building and editing daily posts using Wordpress, assisting with research and interviews, as well as building and updating an editorial calendar.
This applicant must be extremely organized, able to multi-task, must have excellent writing skills and an interest in topics across lifestyle categories, and must live for creating beautifully styled content. Photography and Adobe program knowledge is not required but a HUGE plus. Location in the Delmarva area is required.
While both intern positions are unpaid, there is a possibility of becoming an hourly, paid-position as Lights Camera Catwalk continues to grow. You’ll be working directly with the Founder and Creative Director, Taylor, as well as our Editors and Content Manager. We believe you will leave with an invaluable start up experience to add to your resume in the blogging, retail and design industries. School credit is a major plus.
Please send resumes and (optional) cover letters to thelccblog(AT)gmail(DOT)com.
